Down to the Details

By now you should have seen the Lunatic Fringe 2024 Teaser video as well as the Lunatic Fringe 2024 WIP version that we are going to finish up together.

In the video to the left, I go through the full WIP video and describe exactly how I see the project evolving. In the process, I also show the various files and folders we’ll be using on Google Workspaces to coordinate on the project.

That should give you a very clear picture of what we are trying to accomplish. Read on for the links and more details.

To the left are the key files we’ll use to coordinate our collaboration. Briefly, the song has been divided into seven sections, for which we’ll be creating individual files that will then be assembled into the final music video.

The song has also been split up by the lyrics, so we can specify exactly which video clips will appear along with each line of lyrics. This will help us maintain order. I will be assigning different sections, lyrics, and individual clips to the editors on the project.

All payments for work performed will be handled through Upwork. In the beginning stages, I will be paying for work on an hourly basis until we have reached a consensus on the rate to pay per clip, at which point we’ll switch to a piecework basis to complete the work on the over 350 clips that will go into this video.

Our goal is to complete the production of this masterpiece before our launch date of July 4th, 2024.

Let’s see if we can pull off this feat of crowdsource engineering!

Proposals Requested

In addition to adding the various clips to sections of the video, there is another project that we’d like to get bids on, which is converting the existing video to Adobe Premier. Here are the four cost estimates we’d like to see to start the project:

      • What will it cost and how long will it take to migrate the existing Wondershare Filmora file (.wfp) for the Teaser video (Time: 1:11) into an Adobe Premiere file?
      • What will it cost and how long will it take to add a more impressive ending to the Teaser video?
      • What will it cost and how long will it take to migrate the existing Wondershare Filmora file (.wfp) Full WIP video (Time: 4:16) into an Adobe Premiere file?
      • What will it cost to add an individual clip to the Coda section of the video (approximately 20 seconds).

If you are reading this, chances are you came through an Upwork post. All hiring will be done through Upwork, but communication and gathering information such as these quotes will happen outside of Upwork.
